The journey includes some of the most fabulous scenery on the Via Francigena, including the Champagne region, the walled city of Langres, and the beautiful and historic city of Besançon. We’re excited about this particular journey because biking is a super way to reduce the length of the Francigena journey from Canterbury to Rome. These 15 days – including a rest day in Reims – translates to 44 official walking stages – shaving nearly an entire month of the Francigena’s duration, which makes it perfect for travelers trying to work through the Schengen Zone’s 90-day limit for those on a tourist visa.

In addition, we offer full van service in case of breakdowns, a professional cycle guide to fill in important historical and cultural details, and all hotels and most all meals!

Pilgrim Paths is pleased to announce new Accommodation Packages on the Via di Francesco in Italy, just in time for the 2023 travel season. The packages are fixed-length itineraries that provide all bookings at lodgings on both the Florence to Assisi and Assisi to Rome portions.

Coordinating the new service is Luke Brown, son of Sandy Brown, Pilgrim Paths founder and lead partner. Luke brings experience from thousands of kilometers as a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago and as support staff on the Via di Francesco.

Pilgrim Paths is also offering new Accommodation Packages on the Camino de Santiago from Pamplona, León and Porto. This new service is offered in addition to the existing Group Tour and Concierge Service. A comparison of features is offered in the following chart.

It’s been a little more than a week since we announced our 2023 group tour schedule and it’s super to see how reservations are starting to come in. We’re hoping to have pricing in the next 7-10 days, but even without pricing information several of our trips are starting to fill up.

We require a minimum contingent of 8 travelers in each group and allow a maximum of 12. The graphics below show how many people have submitted a €250 reservation deposit to save a space on each of our trips.
