Western Celtic Caminos: Sacred Paths of Ireland's Atlantic Coast

Discover the wild beauty and ancient spiritual traditions of western Ireland on this ten-day pilgrimage through County Kerry and West Cork. Following three distinctive Celtic Camino routes, we'll journey through spectacular coastal landscapes, mountain valleys, and historic villages where Ireland's rich heritage of pilgrimage remains very much alive.

Our adventure begins in Tralee, where we set out along the Kerry Camino, following in the footsteps of pilgrims who once traveled toward the shrine of St. James in Dingle. Crossing the rugged landscapes of the Dingle Peninsula, we'll discover sweeping Atlantic views, welcoming villages, and the remarkable cultural traditions of Ireland's Gaelic-speaking southwest.

We then turn to Slí ár Sinsear, the Way of Our Ancestors, following ancient paths across the Iveragh Peninsula from Glenbeigh toward Cahersiveen. Here, dramatic mountains, quiet countryside, and glimpses of the Atlantic evoke the journeys of generations who traveled these historic routes.

Our final pilgrimage takes us into West Cork along St. Finbarr's Pilgrim Path. From Drimoleague, we'll walk through rolling hills and peaceful rural landscapes toward Gougane Barra, the beautiful lakeside sanctuary associated with St. Finbarr, one of Ireland's most beloved early saints.

Throughout our journey, we'll enjoy the companionship of a small group, knowledgeable local guides, traditional Irish hospitality, and opportunities to discover the music, stories, and distinctive culture of the region. Combining invigorating walks with time for reflection and cultural exploration, the Western Celtic Caminos offer an unforgettable encounter with Ireland's Atlantic landscapes and living spiritual heritage.
